The main port infrastructures that make up Nador West Med Port project are:

  • Main breakwater, with 4.233 m in length, one part (1.508 m) of rubble mound breakwater type and the rest (2.725 m) of vertical breakwater type executed with large caissons;
  • Secondary breakwater, with 1.200 m in length, of rubble mound breakwater type;
  • East container terminal with 1.520 m of quays built in reinforced concrete caissons, depth of -18 m (CD) and 76 ha of adjacent embankment area;
  • West container terminal with 1.440 m of quays built in reinforced concrete caissons, depth of -18 m (CD) and 72 ha of adjacent embankment area;
  • Bulk cargo-handling terminal, with 360 m of quays and depth of -20 m (CD);
  • Fuel terminal with three berths for the reception of oil tankers, located on the inside of the main breakwater and depth of -20 m (CD);
  • General cargo terminal with 320 m of quays and depth of -16 m (CD);
  • Roll-on Roll-off terminal.

The project also integrates an industrial logistics platform in free trade zone with 1 500 ha and a development zone of 2 200 ha.

The construction of maritime and port works is the responsibility of a consortium consisting of SGTM (Morocco), STFA (Turkey) and Jan De Nul (Luxembourg).

Technical Assistance to the client for the analysis, verification and review of all port infrastructures.
